Lewis Marriott is named most improved player of the season whilst Harrison Irons takes the coveted player of the season award. There were special awards for long service going to Lewis Marriott, Tom Whitnell and Dominic French. Pictures from the dinner can be found here:

The Cougar's travelling band of Pirates have returned safely from their voyage on the high seas where, under the expert leadership of the Pirate King 'Mad Eye' Marriott, they have taken treasure and silverware.
In a pulsating final the Cougars won the French International Festival Challenge Cup with the final play of the game to secure a 10-5 victory over Wirral. This followed two days of competition that had seen Medway take on Letchworth, Wirral and Old Brodleians in the group stages, before a rollicking semi final victory over London Scottish by 30 points to 10.
A hearty congratulations to our Pirate players:

Bailey; Brown; Chalmers; Clarke; Cornell; Fenton; Fitzpatrick; French; Gowdy; Irons; Lazell; Marriott; Morgan; Rawlins; Simpson; Stone; Wardzynski; and Whitnell
ably assisted by the supporting cast of injured players:
Last; McManus; and Wellard
and the management and coaching team of:
David; Donna; Duncan; Gary; Gordon; John; Mark; Pat; Paul; and Pete
Finally, our thoughts and thanks go to those players that were unable to join us on tour and in particular Jake Christodoulou who had to drop out at the last moment. The touring Cougars dedicate this victory to you.
The touch rugby season starts again on Wednesday 27 April 2011. The Cougars are encouraged to field as many sides as possible in an effort to maintain fitness during the close season. Check the main site for details.
